Carnival of Healing #129: Spring Renewal
Welcome to Carnival of Healing #129: Spring Renewal. After a long, cold winter in Northern Jersey, I'm really happy to see signs of Spring finally showing up in my area. The tulips and daffodils are sprouting in my yard, and the trees will follow very shortly. First Day of Spring is just around the corner, and my birthday is coming, too. This time of year always brings me much anticipation, hope, and I crave for change and renewal. It's a new beginning, a perfect time for healing and renewal.

I'm impressed by the quantity and quality of posts that were submitted this week. This carnival is really growing. Some people submitted more than one post. Since the carnival guideline says not to give more than one link to each blog, I took the liberty to choose only one post from each blogger. Let's dive into the many wonderful offerings from this week's carnival.

Spiritual and Emotional Healing

Alvaro Fernandez presents The Power of Mindsight- by Daniel Goleman posted at Brain Fitness. How do you free yourself from prisons of the past? I've always believed that we never stop growing and evolving on our life's journey, and no matter what happened in the past, we can create a new life of our choice. It's great to see that scientists have physical evidence of such growth. Yes it takes time, patience, and courage but it can be done.

Dr. Mike Skinner at meditation for the masses shares what he learned from Buddhist monk Matthieu Ricard's teaching in Happiness Through Meditation. Matthieu Richard argues that "happiness is not pleasure, that it is a much deeper, more authentic reflection of our true nature, which paradoxically, can be present even when we’re sad", and meditation is his preferred method of cultivating happiness.

Alex Blackwell wrote an inspirational post Four Rocks to Grasp in Life posted at The Next 45 Years. The four rocks are: Passion, Forgiveness, Surrender and Hope. For me, personally, it's hard to reach for the rock of surrender sometimes, but it's often exactly what I must do to break the resistance and move forward. This post is a great reminder.

Mark Ivar Myhrei presents The Burdens We Bear posted at Emotional Times. Mark states, "Burden comes from demanding that someone else must be responsible for my life". It also comes from resistance to change. He offers an exercise to rid the burden so you can soar instead.

Jenny shares her newfound love for knitting and reminds us to Take Time For Yourself posted at the so called me.

It's important to take charge of your emotional health. Shaheen Lakhan offers 10 tips, drawn from her own experience of overcoming depression, in Fighting Depression: 10 Step Do-It-Yourself Approach posted at GNIF Brain Blogger.

Through working with his life coach, Roger found a way to break out of a rut in Life Really Is Amazing Even When It Doesn’t Seem So posted at The Happy and Prosperous Blog. I’ve also found it very powerful when I can help my life coaching clients see the big picture, and focus on gratitude. One of my favorite exercises is “Top 3 Things” — go about your day while keeping a mental list of the top 3 things that happen to you that day. You will inevitably focus on “what’s going right” and feel great all day long!

Astrid Lee wrote a detailed introduction to gemstones and crystals that could help you attract financial abundance, including instructions of making a grid for this purpose. Healthcare

As a former RN and, in many cases, a patient myself, I know well that many skillful doctors have horrible bedside manners. Green presents two compelling cases in Who(m) Do You Trust? posted at Trust Matters.
