The other day, I shared the exciting news of my first radio interview at America's Dream Coach Marcia Wieder's "My Dream Circle" message board. (yes, a good coach needs one or more mentor coaches to keep her inspired, and Marcia is one of the mentor coaches I look up to). I was pleasantly surprised to receive a reply from Marcia herself!!! She invited me to share a few tips for success on her message board. She is sooooo sweet!!!
For those of you who have big dreams and would like some support from Marcia and other dreamers in her circle, I recommend you join Marcia's My Dream Circle.
By the way, good news: you can now listen to my interview recording directly from my website.
OK, you must be wondering: So, what does this have to do with Rappin Granny and having fun? Read on......

Dear Hueina,
This sounds like an amazing endeavor. Thank you so much for sharing it with us. I welcome your insight and wisdom here as well. You surely have a lot to teach us all... me included. I have to sometimes remember to schedule time to play. What's your secret? I missed yesterday's live call so please share a few tips for success here... and I'll also try to catch the call on the archives.
Warmly, Marcia

Dear Marcia:
It's so awesome to hear from you!! Thanks for inviting me to share a few tips here with you and everyone in your Dream Circle. I'm honored.
My personal motto is "Work Hard, Play Hard". A life of "All Work, Zero Fun" simply doesn't work for me. Ever since I was little, I've always tried to find some ways to have fun in order to de-stress from studying and from work. I actively pursue at least one or two of my many hobbies or do something I enjoy on a regular basis. When things got too crazy at work or at home, and I couldn't do my regular fun activities, I'd still try to steal a few minutes to read something funny, play with my kids & cats, etc. Having fun is so important to me that when I first tried to write my "life purpose", what came into mind immediately was "to create, to inspire, and to have fun".
Although I wasn't aware of it back then, over the years, I've used FUN as a factor in decision-making process in both my personal and professional life. The first time I saw the movie "Titanic", I was deeply moved by a scene toward the end of the movie. In old Rose's cabin, there were many photos on the desk showcasing her many adventures in life: horse-back riding, flying a plane, etc. Despite the circumstances, she has lived such a full life. Right there and then, I said to myself: "I want to be like her when I grow up!" (I was in my 30s and still felt like I had much growing-up to do) I told my husband that I want to grow old to be a grandma who has many adventurous stories to tell. He looked at me, like, "you want to be WHAT?!!!" (speaking of grandmas, did you see the 72-year-old Rappin Granny on "America's Got Talent"? I LOVE her!!!) Anyway, since seeing the movie, I've made conscious efforts to seek out activities that are fun and adventurous, and will someday make a great bedtime story for my grandchildren. That's what got me into trying ocean kayaking (kind of scary), starting martial arts training at age 35 (got a black belt and some gold medals to show my grandkids!), and life coaching. I get to inspire and co-create a new life with my clients, and have lots of fun doing it!!!
To hear more tips, you can listen to my interview on my website now. I'd love to hear what you think!
Warmly, Hueina
