I have a few exciting news to share with you today.
1) Entrepreneur's Talk radio show, Tuesday, October 6th at 1:00 pm EST
First off, a time-sensitive news. I will be interviewed on Entrepreneur's Talk radio show, Tuesday, October 6th at 1:00 pm EST. My topic is Taming the Invisible Chaos. I will talk about the single most important reason why most people never overcome their stress, why conventional stress management alone does not work, what's Invisible Chaos and the 3-R Process you can use to tame your Invisible Chaos. You can call in live or listen online. http://tobtr.com/s/721693

3) National Stress Prevention Month
October is National Stress Prevention Month and Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Stress and cancer are obviously related. What are you doing to prevent both? If you are stressed, make sure you read this new article on my blog The Real Root Cause of Your Stress. http://budurl.com/ye9k
Last week I was invited to "shadow" an oncologist and his staff for a day at his cancer center. The good doctor wanted me to design stress management programs for his patients and staff. I applaud his proactive approach to help his patients heal and keep his staff healthy. Research has shown that practicing relaxation techniques (such as yoga, meditation, tai chi) on a regular basis can affect the cancer-related gene expressions. In other words, if you practice relaxation techniques, even if you are genetically pre-disposed to have cancer, you will reduce your risk of these genes being "turned on" to develop cancer in your body. Something to think about!
Another new study published by Cancer Prevention Research found that breast cancer gene expression was enhanced and tumor growth increased, following social isolation. We all know the importance of social support for our emotional well-being and stress relief. This study showed that social suppport also affects our physical health.
4) Powerful Women! Powerful You! Featured in Daily Record
Which brings me to another exciting news to share. Last Friday I spoke at the first annual The Women's Institute Conference at Bergen Community College. It was a great success and I'm honored to be part of the initial planning committee for this important women's initiative. It's inspiring to hear great women speakers such as Rachel Simmons (author of The Curse of The Good Girl), Barbara Frankel (Editor of DiversityInc. Magazine), as well as other workshop speakers. I also enjoyed meeting amazing women and catching up with old friends. There is much power when women gather and support one another. Do you have your own "tribe" that you can turn to for support?
One of my favorite women's groups is the Powerful You! Women's Netowrk Denville NJ chapter, which I co-facilitate with my good friend Christina Santiago. And guess what? We are in the news AGAIN! Our Denville chapter meeting was featured on Sunday 10/4 in the Daily Record Morris Celebs section. We have a full-page spread. This is the 3rd time we got news coverage this year. Last time we were the cover story, also in Daily Record. Look how beautiful we are! :)

Powerful You! is a national women's organization dedicated to connecting and empowering women. Their mission is to empower as many women as possible to find their inner wisdom, follow their passion and live rich authentic lives. Powerful You! Women’s Network is founded upon the belief that women are powerful creators, passionate and compassionate leaders and the heart and backbone of the world’s homes and communities. The Denville chapter is one of the largest and most active chapters in New Jersey. We meet every 3rd Wednesday from 12-2 pm (next meeting October 21).
