Happy Friday! Today is 08-08-08, a very special day on many levels. Let me explain.

First of all, most of you know that today kicks off the summer Olympics in Beijing, China. It's the first time China hosts the Olympic Games, so it has great historical meaning to China. Even though I'm from Taiwan, I do share the Chinese heritage and culture. So, I sincerely wish all the best for the athletes and hope the games go smoothly.

August 8th is also the Father's Day in my country. This day was chosen because 8-8, pronounced as Ba-Ba in Mandarin Chinese, sounds similar to daddy or father. My parents are visiting my sister in Long Island. I'm taking my children to pay them a surprise visit and take them out for lunch today, to celebrate Father's Day. Can't wait to see my Dad's face when he sees us at the door! :-)

The number 8 has yet another meaning in Chinese culture. The pronounciation of number 8 in Cantonese (a Chinese dialect) is similar to "being prosperous" or "prosperity". When you "stack" more than one 8 together, it means abundance multiplied. From what I heard, the number 8 means prosperity in many other cultures & traditions too! Now you see why TODAY (08-08-08) is so special. It's a triple prosperity day!

So, what can you do to capture the great abundance & prosperity today?

My husband and I have this daily abundance ritual that's working great for us. I jokingly call it our Great Abundance Experiment. Every morning, I'd apply the Abundance Oil to my crown charkra & 3rd eye (for spiritual connection), throat charkra (for self-expression), heart charkra (for love & joy), and kidney area (for prosperity). I'd say my abundance affirmations while applying the oil, and state what I'm grateful for. I also diffuse the Abundance Oil in my home office every day. My husband was a skeptic at first (being an engineer), but when he started to see results he jumped on board too. Now he wears the Abundance Oil as his cologne. We also read my mentor coach Terri Levine's book Magnetizing, and applied what she taught. It's so much FUN to see the abundance flow into our businesses and our life!

You can do the same without the Abundance Oil. Simply find some abundance affirmations that really resonate with you, and start saying them every day, starting TODAY. Louise Hay has some great affirmations. I recommend her book "I Can Do It" which comes with an audio CD with affirmations for many specific issues. It's a good first step toward attracting more abundance into your life. Of course, saying the affirmations alone is NOT enough. There are specific actions you must take. I can teach you how to do it.
