It appears that Tai Chi is not just for human beings.I found this amusing news about a dairy farmer who believes a happy cow is a productive cow. He has discovered an unusual way to relax his herd and increase milk yields – yes, you guessed it, it's Tai Chi.
Rob Taverner, an organic farmer, performs the ancient martial art in front of his 100 cows every morning to get them in the right mooooood to produce lots of milk.
Tai Chi is a traditional Chinese martial art that helps you integrate mind, body and spirit, stay in balance and stay in the present. I've learned Tai Chi and Tai Chi Sword for a few years, and I can certainly attest to that. I just didn't realize cows appreciate Tai Chi too! LOL"Organic farming, just like Tai Chi, is all about maintaining a balance." He said, "Being an organic dairy farmer is hard work and I just want to make sure I am as relaxed and focused as possible. I enjoy it."
He added: "Tai Chi is all about leaving your problems behind and getting into a better zone and my mood definitely transfers to the cows."
Hmmm, that's some food for thought. Tai Cheese, Anyone?

A wonderful post Hueina. There have been studies which show that dairy cattle produce more milk when classical music is played.
Thanks, Tom
