Weight loss is such an emotionally-charged issue. So many people use food to fill emotional voids, and then beat themselves up afterwards. So many people have attached their self-worth and self-esteem to their body weight. When they cannot stick to their diet or exercise programs, or when they cannot reach their weight loss goals, it's a huge blow to their self-esteem. Then they might resort to more emotional eating, and gain more weight, and it becomes a vicious cycle.

What about diet? It's one of those words that provokes very negative emotions in most people. Maybe you have been on a diet that leaves you cranky, drained, or craving for all the "bad" stuff. Or, perhaps you force yourself on a crash diet for a special occasion, and then as soon as you reach your goal, you "rebel" immediately and gain all the weight back.

It's obviously not working for you. What you really need is a long-term solution that will help you lose weight while keeping the energy you need for work and personal life, and help you stay healthy for the long run.
