1. Welcome & Announcements
As we are approaching the first day of Spring, I hope you and your family are doing well. Last month my family and I were down with a flu for two weeks. We were not alone. I heard that there was a record high of children absent at my children's schools last month. If you were wondering why you didn't receive the 2nd issue of my February newsletter, that's because I decided to take a little "newsletter vacation" to take care of myself and my family. If you are under the weather, I hope you give yourself permission to call in sick (especially if you're a stay-at-home mom), and get all the rest you need to recover. Good work ethic is important, however, it really doesn't benefit anyone when you don't recover ASAP and cannot function at 100%.
March is Women's History Month, and March 8th was the International Women's Day. It's time to review our history, and kick into action to empower women all over the world.
It is my personal mission and passion to empower women nurturers as well as the next generation women leaders. Last month I was invited to speak at a women's empowerment community action project for Dress for Success. The event was organized by the Professional Women's Group under Dress for Success Morris County Chapter, and benefited the residents of three nearby women's shelters. Dress for Success is dedicated to women's self-sufficiency, and has more than 75 chapters all over US, New Zealand, Canada and the United Kingdom.
This month I received an invitation to be the first speaker for a new gynocological cancer support group of the American Cancer Society Asian Initiatives New Jersey. I will present a workshop for them on April 7, 2007. I will also present a workshop at the 17th Annual Morristown Women's Festival on May 12, 2007. This year's theme is "Claiming Our Birthright". If you live in NY/NJ area, make sure you come out for a full day of workshops and festivities celebrating women.
I am also working on the New Jersey Association of Women Business Owners (NJAWBO) Essex Chapter's Diversity Committee to organize their 2nd Annual NJAWBO Essex Diversity Networking Luncheon on June 12, 2007. Our theme is "Women of New Jersey, Celebrate Your Diversity.... and Grow Your Business". This event will raise awareness of diversity among women business owners and corporate sponsors, recruit more minority women business owners for NJAWBO, and part of the proceeds will benefit New Jersey Coalition for Battered Women (NJCBW).
There are many opportunities in your community that you can participate to empower other women. Start with the groups that you already belong to, for example, MOMS Club, PTA, your church, your company, Rotary Club, Toast Masters, Chamber of Commerce, etc. Or join a worthwhile charity/organization in your area.
By the way, did you check out the American Heart Association's Go Red for Women Campaign last month? Did you request your FREE Red Dress Pin? I've just received my pin last week. If you have received yours, wear it proudly to raise awareness for women's heart health. If you haven't requested your own pin, what are you waiting for? Go and read about Go Red for Women, and join the movement to protect your health and your loved one's too! If you would like to suggest a future Teleclass topic and/or speaker, please email me and let me know. Please feel free to email me anytime, if you have any questions, comments, or need support working toward your goals.
This is the month of March after all. So, march boldly toward your goals and dreams. I give you all green lights!

It's About Time: Time Management for Busy Moms
Remember that old song: "Time..... is on my side. Yes it is!"
Wouldn't it be nice, if that was true?
Unfortunately, most moms I know and work with these days are "up to here" with work, projects, responsibilities, obligations, housework, kids' homework, after-school activities, volunteer commitments, ...... the list goes on and on and on. You get the picture: over-scheduled, over-worked, overwhelmed. You can barely keep your head above the water.
Then there are other time management challenges: you are procrastinating, disorganized, distracted, interrupted all the time, not doing the "first things first", etc. As a result, you are always scrambling to finish your project at last minute. Or worse, you keep putting off that important task that's crucial for your success, and you wonder why you just can't bring yourself to finish it?
No wonder you are so stressed out!!!
Don't worry. Help is on the way.
This month, I've invited my good friend and colleague Heather Clarke-Peckerman, MA, CEC as our guest speaker. Heather is an executive coach, consultant, entrepreneur, and a super busy mom of two young boys. She will share with you proven tips on how to take back your life and put more meaning and purpose into everything you do.For more details and to register for this Teleclass, click here
I've received overwhelming responses to our February Teleclass "Make Up Your Mind And Move Forward: Decision-Making Strategies for the Indecisive". A big Thank You to everyone who attended the live call, and/or sent in your questions & comments. The recording of this Teleclass is available on our website now. You can download the MP3 and worksheet by visiting the Teleclass Archives.

Take Time for Friendships
I remember reading a story about a mom telling her soon-to-be-married daughter to never let go of her girlfriends. At first the daughter thought she wouldn't need her girlfriends any more, since she was going to become a wife, and have her own family very soon. She did, however, heed her mom's advice. She kept in touch with her girlfriends over the years, and as she grew older (and wiser), she became more and more appreciative of her mom's advice and her girlfriends.
I, for one, can totally relate to that story.... read the full article

4. Quotes of the Week
"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.
e ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small doesn't serve the world."
-- Marianne Williamson
"The problems of the world cannot possibly be solved by skeptics or cynics whose horizons are limited by obvious realities. We need men and women who can dream of things that never were."
-- John F. Kennedy
"The cities and mansions that people dream of are those in which they finally live."-- Lewis Mumford, 1895-1990, American Historian "Instead of worrying about what people say of you, why not spend time trying to accomplish something they will admire."

6. Just for Fun
A friend of mine sent me this really cool game. For the engineers or mathematician alike, you might enjoy calculating the exact angle/degrees to shoot the basket. For me, I'm just doing it for fun! Enjoy!
Check out Jen Singer's MamaSaid.net-- "The Stay-at-Home Mom's Coffee Break". She has a refreshing and humorous take on the stay-at-home motherhood. She has a book, a mom blog and not-to-be-missed Mama-Logue, short monologue videos that's funny, silly, and sometimes makes you laugh until you cry! They say "Laughter is the best medicine". MamaSaid definitely supplies plenty of Rx for ANY moms, not just stay-at-home moms. For best result, shake it before you take it, and repeat as necessary.
